If a family member was at fault in causing injury, in a car accident or another circumstance involving negligence, injured persons may be forced to sue a family member in order to get compensation for their losses. However, it’s typically the insurance company and not the named ‘defendant’ (or ‘at fault’ person) who provides the legal defence and ultimately pays the awarded damages in personal injury lawsuits. |
